Our mission clarifies WHAT God has called the church to do. And our mission is simple: Leading people to trust and follow Jesus.
Our method is our Discipleship Pathway and it clarifies HOW we will accomplish our mission. Our method is equipping people to live an upward life of worship, an inward life in community, and an outward life on mission.
God has called every believer to not only partner with a local church, but to gather regularly to hear His word, sing his praises, declare his glory, and encourage one another. It is here that we are learning how to respond to the revelation of God.
These mid-week multi-generational classes are designed to lead you into greater intimacy with Jesus Christ by teaching practical, foundational, and Biblical truths.
D-Groups are weekly, gender-specific small groups that focus on accountability as well as reading, memorizing, and responding to the Bible.
Community groups exist to give you a context in which you can begin to live life in community. Community groups are the primary venue for relational connection, and the place were meaningful Christian relationships, spiritual encouragement, and practical care take place. These groups meet on campus and do a Biblical study or the previous Sunday’s sermon.
As a partner, the expectation is that you will find some way in which to serve in the church. Each area of ministry in the church has opportunities to serve. To get connected with one of these ministries, simply contact the director of that ministry.
The Great Commission is clear, growing disciples make other disciples. We provide various opportunities throughout the year to engage the lost through local initiatives and short-term mission trips. These opportunities not only provide you a chance to engage missionally, but also equip you to live a life on mission.
Prince Avenue Baptist Church and Prince Avenue Christian School subscribe to Georgia Safe Carry Protection Act (OCGA § 16-11-127(b)(4) and OCGA § 16-11-127.1), which prohibits weapons of any kind in school zones, at school functions, or on school transportation. Our church campus is a school zone because the law states that school campuses do not cease to be a school campus even when school activities are not being held or the campus is being used for any other purpose, including church purposes. A license holder who violates this section and carries a weapon in a school safety zone, at school functions, or on school transportation is guilty of a misdemeanor. A non-license holder who violates this section is guilty of a felony.
