Community Groups exist to give you a context in which you can begin to live life in community with friends. These groups are the primary venue for relational connection, as well as the place where meaningful relationships, spiritual encouragement, and practical care occur. These groups meet on campus and offer Biblical study and discussion.
9:15 Community Groups
LOCATION: RM 1132Tell us a little about your group:We are a community of people who love one another and invest in each other’s lives. We enjoy engaging one another in relationships both on and away from the church campus. Our group is multi-generational and includes both couples and singles. The most common age brackets are from the 30’s through 50’s, but we have members outside that range, and all are welcome. We enjoy having both members who are new to Prince and others who have been at Prince for many years. The Sunday morning meetings will feature in-depth teaching as well as discussion inside the group with the aim of deepening our understanding and applications of Scripture. We have a strong desire to help members connect in a community group where they feel the Lord is leading them (even if that happens to be another group). There is no pressure to "join" our group - we just want you wherever you feel you are supposed to be. What do you love about your community group? We are thankful that we can connect across generations to help lead one another to trust and follow Jesus. We want to experience the reality of Psalm 145:4, which tells us, "One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts." We believe we need one another - those with more and those with fewer life experiences - we need one another. We are grateful to have an opportunity to equip one another for the work of ministry and see and experience authentic discipleship and community in our group.
A discipleship group (D-Group) consists of three to five men or women, gender specific, who are committed to growing together spiritually for a period of one year. At the end of the year, the goal is that each member start their own D-Group and replicate the group experience by inviting others to take the same discipleship journey with them.
